• Lead in-depth analysis of Windows and Linux malware samples, focusing on ransomware.
• Set research direction by identifying ransomware trends and prioritizing analysis targets.
• Create comprehensive reports detailing ransomware analysis findings.
• Design, develop, and validate advanced decryptors.
• Design and develop tools to automate malware analysis tasks.
• Mentor and review the work of other researchers.
• Provide expert support to other teams within the organization.
• Represent Halcyon in the security community through technical blogs and presentations.

Requirements

• Extensive experience in analyzing Windows and Linux malware, especially ransomware.
• Advanced proficiency in reverse engineering tools like IDA Pro and Ghidra.
• Expertise in writing and optimizing YARA rules.
• Strong programming skills in Python, C, or C++.
• Familiarity with threat intelligence platforms.
• Proven ability to collaborate across teams.
• Excellent technical writing skills.
