Overview

The Business Development Representative at Granicus is responsible for prospecting, qualifying, and generating new sales opportunities to support the Federal, State, and Local Sales teams, focusing on modern government technology.

In Short

  • Develop new business via phone and email to educate prospects about the Granicus platform.
  • Conduct initial qualification of prospects' current environment and potential projects.
  • Identify key buying influencers and their budget/timeline.
  • Follow up on inbound leads and conduct strategic outreach to generate interest.
  • Build and cultivate relationships with prospects to move opportunities through the sales funnel.
  • Collaborate with account executives to develop sales pipeline and territory plans.
  • Use Salesforce CRM to track sales activities and manage data.
  • Analyze sales pipeline reports and dashboards.
  • Work in a remote-first environment with options for in-office work.

Requirements

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills in English.
  • Work experience or internships in sales/marketing, or a degree in a related field.
  • 1+ year of relevant work experience.
  • Ability to meet/exceed sales and activity metrics.
  • Strong client relationship-building skills.
  • Effective problem-solving, time management, and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office products.
  • Experience with Salesforce or another CRM preferred.
