Overview

GP Strategies Government Solutions GPGS is seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Engineering Acquisition Specialist to drive business growth in the aerospace, petrochemical, and piping/tubing process systems fabrication sectors throughout North America.

In Short

  • Conduct comprehensive market research to identify emerging trends and new business opportunities.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers.
  • Collaborate with teams to create tailored proposals and negotiate terms.
  • Apply engineering expertise to understand client needs and propose solutions.
  • Develop and execute a strategic plan for project acquisition.
  • Monitor competitors and industry changes to refine strategies.
  • Work closely with engineering, operations, and finance teams.
  • Represent the company at industry events and conferences.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or related field; advanced degree is a plus.
  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience in business development or sales in engineering.
  • Strong understanding of technical requirements in relevant industries.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex deals with large-scale clients.
  • Excellent negotiation, presentation, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and travel as needed across North America.
