  • Report to the Japan Enterprise Area Sales Manager.
  • Support GitLab for strategic and larger customers in Japan, ideally with experience in Manufacturing and Electronics.
  • Contribute to root cause analysis on wins/losses.
  • Take ownership of your book of business.
  • Contribute to documenting improvements in the sales handbook.
  • Provide account leadership in the pre- and post-sales process.
  • Conduct sales activities including prospecting and developing opportunities.
  • Ensure successful rollout and adoption of GitLab products.
  • Travel as necessary to develop relationships and close opportunities.
  • Build and strengthen business relationships with current accounts and new prospects.

Requirements

  • A true desire to see customers benefit from their investment.
  • High degree of government major account management capability.
  • Experience selling into government accounts with understanding of Manufacturing and Electronics.
  • Work under minimal supervision on complex projects.
  • Proven success with B2B software sales.
  • Experience selling into large organizations.
  • Interest in GitLab and open source software.
  • Effective communicator with strong interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent negotiation, presentation, and closing skills.
  • Ability to use GitLab.
