The Senior Data Engineer will build industrialized data assets and optimize data pipelines in support of Business Intelligence and Advanced Analytic objectives within GM's Motorsports Software team.

In Short

Workplace classification: Hybrid with up to 3 days onsite per week.
Collaborate with Data Scientists, BI Developers, and System Architects.
Create and maintain optimal data pipeline architecture.
Assemble large, complex data sets for business requirements.
Identify and implement internal process improvements.
Build analytic datasets for actionable insights.
Work on data-related technical issues with business partners.
Requires a Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field.
5+ years experience with object-oriented scripting languages.
Experience with Big Data Tools and cloud platforms.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or related field.
5+ years experience with Python, Java, C++, or Scala.
3+ years hands-on experience with Big Data Tools.
Advanced SQL and NoSQL database experience.
Experience in developing large-scale integration and API solutions.
Ability to tackle problems quickly and completely.
Demonstrable understanding of networking and distributed computing.
Ability to multi-task and stay organized.
