Assistant Program Purchasing Manager - GM Defense - Remote

Overview

The Assistant Program Purchasing Manager (APPM) with GM Defense is responsible for leading program team deliverables and executing strategies to achieve program profitability targets while collaborating with the Program Team.

• Lead GPSC program team deliverables across all system teams.
• Use creativity to navigate unique issues.
• Achieve program profitability/EBIT targets.
• Communicate volume and content changes.
• Ensure USMCA Compliance.
• Support various sourcing activities.
• Review financial and operational metrics.
• Coordinate GPSC deliverables & Program Gate Reviews.
• Support Launch Excellence.
• Travel at least 5% of the time, including internationally.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree.
• 5+ years of relevant experience in Direct Purchasing or Program Purchasing.
• Strong business acumen and communication skills.
• Ability to manage ambiguity and work independently.
• Familiarity with commodity structure and supply base strategy.
• Ability to read blueprints and understand basic engineering documents.
• Proven knowledge of contract law in purchasing processes.
• Active US Secret Security clearance preferred.
