Overview

The Investigator, Employee Relations role involves conducting impartial investigations into workplace misconduct and policy violations while adhering to GM's high standards of integrity.

In Short

  • Conduct investigations into discrimination, harassment, and policy violations.

  • Work remotely with occasional in-office reporting.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in HR or related fields.
  • 3+ years conducting workplace investigations.
  • Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, or related field preferred.
  • Experience managing cases from assignment to completion.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive matters.
  • Experience working in a union environment is a plus.
  • Managerial courage and effective communication abilities.
  • Advanced degree or professional certification is a plus.
