Overview

The Strategic Accounts Director will be responsible for retaining and upselling clients who are launching on Garner’s newest employee benefit offering, collaborating with the General Manager of Health Plan Products to ensure an excellent client experience and achieve expected results.

In Short

  • Work with the General Manager to onboard and advise clients on Garner’s newest product.
  • Establish and manage strategic broker and client relationships.
  • Become a trusted partner on plan design and performance.
  • Resolve strategic problems and ensure value delivery.
  • Monitor client health and execute strategic plans.
  • Collaborate with teams to deliver customized reports and presentations.
  • Drive improved net revenue retention and KPIs.
  • Ability to travel up to 25% of the time.

Requirements

  • Deep health plan design and benefits knowledge.
  • Experience with level- and self-funded medical plans.
  • 7+ years in account management or sales in employee benefits.
  • Commercial focus with retention and growth goals.
  • Proven results in achieving retention and upsell targets.
  • Self-starter in a fast-paced startup environment.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Problem solver in ambiguous situations.
  • A strong communicator who can articulate a vision.
  • A desire to improve the healthcare system.
