In Short

• Write and ship a lot of code.
• Work directly with analysts and stakeholders to refine requirements and debug data sets.
• Drive architectural decisions in system design.
• Lead cross-functional data initiatives.
• Champion high standards in data quality and security.
• Translate complex technical challenges into clear solutions.
• Design and develop high-performance data pipelines.
• Utilize tooling and automation to improve developer efficiency.
• Monitor data systems for quality and availability.
• Mentor other Data Engineers.

Requirements

• Strong experience with data warehousing and data lakes.
• Experience with building performant data pipelines.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP & Azure.
• Mastery in SQL and experience in Python.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Willingness to be part of an on-call rotation.
• An open mind and willingness to be flexible.
• Experience with tools like Snowflake, dbt, Fivetran, Airflow, and Kubernetes.
• Experience with marketing data is preferred.
• A sharp mind, a soft heart and a large funny bone.
