Overview

The Market Development Representative will be responsible for representing Cornerstone Building Brands' top siding and accessories brands, building relationships with contractors and driving sales within an assigned geographical territory.

In Short

  • Responsible for creating and executing a strategic prospecting strategy.
  • Build relationships with remodelers, builders, and contractors.
  • Promote and sell exterior surfaces building products.
  • Maintain a comprehensive sales database.
  • Attend sales meetings and industry events.
  • Evaluate competition and provide insights on pricing.
  • Collaborate with distribution representatives.
  • Conduct local product training.
  • Drive contractor engagement and loyalty.
  • Travel required for fieldwork and meetings.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated sales and territory management skills.
  • Self-motivated with strong time management skills.
  • Solid written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong prospecting skills with distribution partners.
  • Excellent presentation and relationship building skills.
  • Experience in channel sales.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • General knowledge of building materials is a plus.
  • Product experience with exterior siding materials is a plus.
  • Experience working with manufacturers is a plus.
