Overview

As a global leader in commercial payments that powers international business by moving money with ease, Convera is seeking a Business Development Manager to drive sales of complex products, hedging solutions, and FX, within our Singapore office, supporting sales across APAC.

In Short

  • Leverage your deep understanding of Convera’s value proposition to build a suitable pipeline to attract new clients for our B2B division.
  • Achieve Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) such as revenue setting targets, and report them on a weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis to drive new business through a mix of payment and hedging solutions.
  • Proactively seek new business opportunities through cold calls, networking events, referrals, exhibitions, and partnerships.
  • Use sales tools like Salesforce, Highspot, and ZoomInfo to generate leads to generate new sales opportunities.
  • Manage the sales cycle up to client onboarding, before transitioning to the client account management team.
  • Introduce relevant support functions to clients.
  • Influence clients ranging from start-up owners to C-suite executives of targeted corporations.
  • Maintain documentation of all relevant SFDC records.
  • Perform market analysis and attend industry events.
  • This role is hybrid, split between WFH and our modern central Singapore office.

Requirements

  • 2-5+ years financial services sector experience in FX or payments.
  • B2B sales experience.
  • Experience in consultative selling, corporate negotiations, and customer acquisition.
  • Strong understanding of bulk payment processing, international payments, accounting systems, and platform integration.
  • Financially astute and proven ability to achieve or exceed KPIs and revenue targets.
  • Ability to work both independently and within a fast-paced team environment.
  • Fluent in English (oral and written).
  • Foreign Exchange (FX) knowledge preferred.
