Overview

As a Mid Market Account Executive, you will be responsible for driving Contentful's growth through the entire sales process, focusing on new revenue opportunities and customer enablement across North America.

In Short

  • Build and manage a pipeline for new business and existing accounts.
  • Meet quarterly and annual sales goals through effective account strategies.
  • Conduct research and qualify leads to drive new business relationships.
  • Collaborate with Sales Engineers and Solution Architects on technical challenges.
  • Negotiate contracts and close deals efficiently.
  • Work closely with Customer Success and Marketing teams.
  • Understand and align Contentful's ROI with customer challenges.
  • Position and sell complex technical solutions to diverse stakeholders.
  • Willingness to travel up to 25%.
  • Compensation includes monthly and annual accelerators for overachievement.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of B2B SaaS sales experience with a focus on closing.
  • 2+ years of experience selling complex technical software.
  • Knowledge of technical SaaS and/or PaaS platforms.
  • Experience expanding existing customer accounts.
  • Ability to sell transactions of $100k+ to large organizations.
  • Strong pipeline generation and closing skills.
  • Experience engaging with C-level executives.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • A college degree (BA/BS) is required.
