Overview

The Commercial Account Executive will drive Contentful’s growth by leading the end-to-end sales process from prospecting to close, focusing on new revenue opportunities and customer enablement initiatives.

In Short

  • Position, negotiate, and close new business in North America.
  • Meet quarterly and annual sales goals with a strategic account plan.
  • Prospect and develop new business opportunities.
  • Manage RFI/RFQ requests with internal and customer teams.
  • Collaborate with Sales, Partnerships, and Customer Success teams.
  • Understand digital experience challenges and align ROI with customer needs.
  • Work with Sales Engineers and Solution Architects.
  • Develop proposals and negotiate contracts efficiently.
  • Collaborate with Customer Success & Marketing teams.
  • Compensation includes monthly and annual accelerators for overachievement.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of B2B SaaS sales experience.
  • 2+ years in a closing role with a history of exceeding quota.
  • Working knowledge of technical SaaS and/or PaaS platforms.
  • Experience growing existing customer accounts.
  • Ability to sell transactions of $100k+.
  • Experience generating pipeline and closing new business.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Willingness to travel (up to 25%).
  • College degree (BA/BS).
