Overview

The Ambulatory Service Representative is responsible for performing complex administrative duties for patients in need of routine and urgent appointments, medical procedures, tests, and associated ancillary services in an ambulatory in/outpatient setting.

In Short

• Greet visitors and patients for scheduled and urgent care appointments.
• Confirm and verify patient demographic and insurance information.
• Collect co-payments from patients upon arrival.
• Obtain signatures of consent for treatment authorization.

Requirements

• High School Diploma required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 3 years of related experience, waived with higher education.
• Ability to work multifunctionally.
• Excellent communication and human relations skills.
• Knowledge of business office procedures and medical terminology preferred.
