Overview

Brightspeed is looking for a Technical Support Specialist to assist with resolving issues related to installation/change service orders and system fallout, ensuring an excellent customer experience.

In Short

  • Responsible for taking phone calls and chats from technicians and business partners.
  • Maintain data integrity of inventory systems.
  • Respond to various service queues to meet objectives.
  • Handle customer record assignments for fiber orders.
  • Participate in specialized task groups to support company direction.
  • Increase personal technical knowledge about Brightspeed’s products.
  • Document actions taken on orders including facility changes and reported issues.
  • Stay informed about departmental methods and procedures.
  • Work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
  • Other duties as assigned to meet department needs.

Requirements

  • Must reside in North Carolina.
  • High School Diploma/GED or equivalent experience.
  • Vocational training in a related field.
  • 1-2 years of telecommunications experience.
  • Fluent in Excel, including building spreadsheets and macros.
  • Experience with construction prints and cable schematics.
  • Working knowledge of service offerings like FTTP and VOIP.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work overtime as needed.
