Field Service Engineer - Remote

Overview

The Field Service Engineer for Beckman Coulter Diagnostics is responsible for supporting the needs of clients, directly impacting patient health and overall well-being. This role involves troubleshooting, installation, preventative maintenance, and service repair of Beckman Coulter equipment.

In Short

• Work in a remote capacity while supporting clients in the Rochester, NY territory.
• Perform troubleshooting, installation, validation, and maintenance of diagnostic equipment.
• Maintain accurate service logs and records.
• Utilize business systems for service call planning.
• Communicate with internal and external customers to address their needs.
• Assist in training newer Field Service Engineers.
• Travel as needed within the assigned geography.
• Lift and carry equipment up to 50 lbs.
• Possess an associate degree or equivalent military experience.

Requirements

• Associate degree in technical, biomedical, instrumentation, or electrical engineering or equivalent military experience.
• 1-year experience in diagnosing and repairing mechanical and electronic equipment.
• Valid driver’s license with a good driving record.
• Ability to travel 50% of the time.
• Physical ability to lift, bend, and perform tasks related to service repair.
• 3+ years of advanced troubleshooting experience is a plus.
• Strong relationship-building skills with customers.
• Good hand and finger dexterity.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
