Overview

Axelera AI is seeking an experienced Head of Legal to provide strategic legal guidance across all aspects of the company’s operations, supporting its rapid expansion and professionalizing its internal legal function.

In Short

• Guide the company in funding rounds, M&A transactions, and financing activities.
• Oversee the structuring, negotiation, and execution of high-value commercial contracts.
• Ensure compliance with (inter)national laws and regulations.
• Manage Axelera AI’s intellectual property portfolio.
• Provide advice on HR/employment matters and trade compliance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams for business-oriented legal solutions.
• Develop and implement company policies to mitigate legal risks.
• Establish new legal entities and corporate structures as the company grows.
• Manage external legal counsels.
• Potential to evolve into a Chief Legal Officer role.

Requirements

• 10+ years of legal experience in corporate law, M&A, and funding rounds.
• Experience in a fast-paced, international scale-up or deep-tech environment.
• Expertise in drafting and managing high-value commercial contracts.
• Fluent in Dutch and English with excellent communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills and business-oriented mindset.
• Hands-on project manager with a “get-it-done” mentality.
• Creative problem solver with sound judgment.
• Leadership potential to evolve into a Chief Legal Officer role.
