Head of Legal - Remote

Overview

The Head of Legal will be responsible for overseeing all legal matters within the organization. This role requires extensive legal expertise, strategic thinking, and leadership skills to ensure compliance with laws and regulations, mitigate legal risks, and support the achievement of business objectives.

• Develop and implement the organization's legal strategy aligned with its overall goals and objectives.

• Identify and assess legal risks associated with business activities.
• Provide legal advice and support in crisis management situations.
• Support senior management in fulfilling their fiduciary duties and responsibilities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree from a good law school.
• Minimum of 10+ years of experience practicing law, with 4+ years in a Legal role with B2B SaaS organization.
• Proven track record of successfully managing legal matters and providing strategic legal advice.
• Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Should have startup experience.
• Should have worked in a US based organization.
• Ability to think strategically, solve complex problems, and make sound decisions under pressure.
• High level of integrity, professionalism, and ethical conduct.
• To Excel at leadership while also getting hands-on.
• The ability to handle significant and complex legal matters with short turnaround times.
