Data Platform Engineer - Remote

Overview

Avero is looking for a remote Data Platform Engineer to be responsible for the design, development, and maintenance of our data platform, including data ingestion, normalization, enrichment, and fulfillment via our public API offering.

In Short

• Design, implement, and maintain scalable data ingestion pipelines
• Design, implement, and maintain scalable APIs for external customers and partners
• Set new engineering standards and improve on existing ones
• Help build the next generation of the Avero Data Platform
• Wear different hats such as QA engineer, tech support, and DevOps
• Experience building scalable and highly available data pipelines and APIs
• Uphold high engineering standards and consistency
• Value developer experience when building APIs
• 5+ years’ experience developing software in a collaborative environment
• Strong commitment to collaboration in a remote-first organization

Requirements

• Significant overlap with existing technology stack
• Experience with SQL, NoSQL, and backend/frontend technologies
• Natural curiosity and a strong desire to learn
• Experience designing and implementing REST APIs
• Experience designing and implementing data ingestion and transformation pipelines
