Overview

Avalara is looking for a Director of Marketing Analytics to lead a team of 6-8 marketing analytics professionals and lead the evolution of our data capabilities. You will be responsible for marketing performance measurement, attribution modeling, audience insights, predictive analytics, and experimentation, ensuring our marketing strategy is optimized for revenue impact.

  • You will oversee end-to-end marketing performance measurement.

  • You will expand web analytics capabilities.
  • You will use predictive analytics and forecasting.
  • You will oversee the development of marketing dashboards infrastructure.
  • You will formalize an experimentation program across all marketing channels.
  • You will enhance conversion rate optimization (CRO) strategies.

Requirements

  • 8 or more years of experience in Marketing analytics.
  • Experience managing marketing analytics teams of 5+ people.
  • Expertise in marketing performance measurement and attribution modeling.
  • Hands-on experience with BI and visualization tools.
  • Experience with advanced SQL queries.
  • Expertise in data engineering principles.
  • Experience with privacy-first measurement strategies.
  • Understanding of ad platforms and optimization tools.
  • Experience implementing marketing analytics process improvements.
  • Stakeholder management skills.
