QA Specialist I - Remote

Overview

The Quality Assurance Specialist I is responsible for the manual testing of new software in both the pre- and post-release stages of the software development lifecycle, focusing on finding problems and bugs in the system that end users may encounter and assisting in finding solutions to these issues.

In Short

• Pre-release review and analysis of system specifications.
• Design test plans, scenarios, scripts, and procedures.
• Develop use cases for functional testing.
• Perform functional testing of software changes.
• Create logs to document testing phases and defects.
• Report bugs and errors to Engineering Teams.
• Post-release troubleshooting of software defects.
• Work with cross-functional teams to ensure quality.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent education and experience.
• 0-3 years of experience in manual software testing.
• Knowledge of SOA technologies preferred.
• Experience with agile teams preferred.
• Knowledge of testing methodologies (Functional, Regression, etc.).
• Ability to translate user needs into business specifications.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong planning and organizing skills.
