We’re seeking a Director of Solutions Architecture to be the driving force behind Automat-it’s bold entry into the US market. As our first team member on the ground, you’ll be in charge of building our Solutions Architecture and related activities from the ground up. In this position, you will be a key member in the pre-sales process, working directly with global startup customers and cross-functioning with account executives to develop AWS solutions for the customers. As the business grows, you’ll also have the exciting opportunity to recruit and mentor a top-performing local solutions architecture team, shaping the future of Automat-it in the US. This role reports to the CTO.

In Short

• Design, develop, and implement solutions to meet business requirements and create cost-efficient, highly available, and scalable solutions for customers.
• Research and analyze current solutions and initiate improvement plans.
• Develop and adjust vertical-specific solutions for the local market.
• Collaborate with other engineers and stakeholders to ensure solutions are designed and developed according to best practices.
• Share your knowledge with our customers and the cloud community by participating in public speaking engagements.
• Build a strong relationship with the AWS Startup SA community.
• Commitment to regular business travel locally and abroad, including frequent visits to the AWS offices in Manhattan.

Requirements

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in an AWS environment.
• 2+ years of experience in technical customer-facing roles.
• 1+ years of work experience in a Professional Services/Consulting company.
• Extended experience in an IT environment, including hands-on in Kubernetes, CI/CD, and DevOps tools.
• Proven experience in a production environment.
• In-depth knowledge of AWS's main services.
• Successfully designed DevOps and Infrastructure for high-scale production environments in AWS.
• Understanding of Information Security best practices.
• Certified AWS Solutions Architect - Associate.
• Ability to effectively communicate technical design in verbal and written formats.
