Junior Quality Assurance Analyst – IT - Remote

Overview

The Junior Quality Assurance Analyst – IT is responsible for ensuring the quality and functionality of software applications or systems by designing and executing manual and exploratory test cases for a software delivery team in accordance with Asurint’s software test strategy.

In Short

• Collaborates with the development team to understand project requirements and designs testing plans and strategies accordingly.
• Performs various types of tests, including functional, regression, integration, and performance testing.
• Documents and reports identified defects or issues in a bug-tracking system.
• Creates and maintains test documentation, including test plans, test cases, and test scripts.
• Analyzes test results and provides feedback to the development team and stakeholders.
• Participates in process improvement initiatives.
• Seeks opportunities to learn from senior team members.
• Other duties as required.

Requirements

• Experience with software quality assurance processes and tools is required.
• Experience with issue tracking software like Jira is required.
• Experience with software development life cycle (SDLC) is required.
• Experience with environments embracing BDD and TDD is preferred.
• Experience working on teams delivering software products in an Agile environment is preferred.
• Experience with relational data stores such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, or MS SQL is preferred.
• Experience with CI/CD concepts is preferred.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology or a related field is required.
• Certifications: Driver’s license and ability to maintain a satisfactory driving record is required.
• 1 to 2 years of relevant experience is preferred.
