Overview

The Associate Account Manager is responsible for proactively maintaining and retaining relationships with existing customers for commercial and industrial waste services, focusing on increasing customer penetration and satisfaction.

In Short

  • Maintain and retain relationships with existing customers.
  • Make outbound and receive inbound calls to retain business.
  • Increase customer penetration by selling additional services.
  • Utilize Salesforce for scheduling and documenting activities.
  • Respond to cancellation requests and communicate pricing initiatives.
  • Perform contractual re-signs to extend customer relationships.
  • Meet regularly with Sales Manager to review progress and goals.
  • Develop knowledge of the company's services and pricing.
  • Work with a focus on customer satisfaction and profitability.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or G.E.D. required.
  • Minimum of 1 year of customer service experience required.
  • Experience in the waste or transportation industry preferred.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Ability to manage customer relationships effectively.
  • Familiarity with Salesforce or similar CRM tools.
  • Proactive approach to customer engagement.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
