Overview

The Business Development Executive will be responsible for selling enterprise software to the Higher Education market in North America, utilizing both traditional and SaaS delivery models.

In Short

  • Drive efforts to achieve sales targets and grow customer base.
  • Actively prospect for new sales opportunities.
  • Build sales pipeline using appropriate strategies.
  • Maintain knowledge of competitors and best practices.
  • Establish consultative relationships with customers.
  • Educate customers on technical capabilities.
  • Develop proposals and deliver presentations.
  • Record communications in CRM system.
  • Provide accurate forecasts and pipeline updates.
  • Other duties as required by management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required; Masters preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years selling software technology to Higher Education.
  • 3 - 5 years sales experience preferred.
  • Familiar with value-based and consultative selling.
  • Proven record of bringing in new business revenue.
  • Strong passion for selling technology.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Collaborative team player.
  • Exceptional networking skills.
  • Ability to analyze decisions before executing.
