Overview

The Account Executive’s (AE) primary responsibility is to drive growth through new and existing clients and partners for AEM’s solutions, including lightning detection systems, weather and hydrological sensing networks, early warning, risk management, and resiliency solutions within the assigned territory.

In Short

  • Drive growth through new and existing clients and partners.
  • Focus on state and local government agencies.
  • Collaborate with GTM team to develop territory plans.
  • Identify and qualify new customers/partners.
  • Build strong business relationships with key personnel.
  • Promote AEM’s full solution set.
  • Stay informed on regulatory and market changes.
  • Manage sales and lead generation activities in Salesforce.
  • Negotiate and execute contracts.
  • Represent AEM at regional conferences and events.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of sales experience with state and local government.
  • Knowledge in weather or hydrology solutions.
  • Proven sales accomplishment record.
  • Strong Salesforce and Microsoft Office skills.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Experience managing multiple complex pursuits.
  • A valid driver's license required.
  • Availability to travel 25% to 50% of the time.
