Overview

As a Fraud Specialist at Zopa, you will be responsible for reviewing and managing daily fraud cases, investigating complex fraud cases across all Zopa products, and ensuring compliance with procedural requirements.

In Short

  • Handle all aspects of the investigations process for fraud cases.
  • Conduct thorough investigations into customer fraud claims.
  • Maintain clear communication with customers throughout the process.
  • Investigate fraudulent transaction claims and raise chargeback claims.
  • Review and investigate real-time alerts on suspicious transactions.
  • Escalate 1st party fraud cases as necessary.
  • Report to CIFAS and liaise with financial institutions and law enforcement.
  • Provide guidance and support to associates on fraud-related queries.
  • Investigate Authorised Push Payment (APP) fraud claims.
  • Work in a hybrid role with office days on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

Requirements

  • 1+ years of experience in fraud detection/prevention in a financial institution.
  • Knowledge of Cifas, Visa, and the BSP portal.
  • Understanding of Fraud and AML laws.
  • High attention to detail in documentation examination.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Able to work under pressure and prioritize tasks.
  • Adaptable in a fast-paced environment.
  • Team player with integrity and respect for customers.
  • Bonus points for experience with Salesforce and knowledge of regulations.
