Intake Coordinator - Remote

Overview

The Intake Coordinator will provide internal support to the Health Services Department, ensuring that all services for which prior authorization or case management is requested are reviewed according to plan required and approved criteria.

In Short

• Initiate authorization requests for outpatient and inpatient services.
• Set up case management referrals.
• Process appeal requests and grievances.
• Answer phone queues and process faxes.
• Data entry for authorizations, appeals, and grievances.
• Screen requests for eligibility and required documentation.
• Communicate effectively with management and internal departments.
• Interact with various healthcare professionals.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
• Maintain understanding of company policies and operations.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent experience.
• 2+ years of relevant professional experience.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent organizational skills.

• Proficient in MS Office Applications.

• Ability to adapt to changing priorities.
