Overview

The Regional Sales Account Manager serves in a senior capacity with broad strategic and commercial responsibilities. This role is accountable for defining the regional sales strategy, owning a regional revenue/quota target across a U.S. region/territory, leading revenue growth initiatives, managing key customer relationships, and ensuring alignment with the company’s global business objectives.

In Short

  • Own and expand executive-level customer relationships to drive business expansion.
  • Develop and manage the regional account/territory sales plan.
  • Collaborate closely with the Product and Marketing team.
  • Analyze competition, market trends, and customer base.
  • Partner with Product and Service Teams for execution.
  • Conduct customer/prospect meetings frequently.
  • Present product & service proposals to decision-makers.
  • Collaborate with peer regional sales account team members.
  • Own forecasting with a focus on accuracy.
  • Use Salesforce (CRM) for pipeline and forecasting.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of Telecom Industry sales experience.
  • Prior sales experience in Fixed Wireline and Wireless products.
  • Experience selling DWDM transport products.
  • Experience with Management & Control cloud-based software.
  • Proven success managing a multi-state sales territory.
  • Strong background in telecommunications or networking.
  • Ability to lead complex negotiations.
  • Strong executive communication and presentation skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Ability to travel frequently across the U.S.
