Overview

As the Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, building and maintaining client relationships, and driving the end-to-end sales process.

In Short

  • Identify and research potential clients in the defense, government, and space industries.
  • Develop and maintain strong client relationships to foster long-term partnerships.
  • Make and deliver compelling presentations to prospective clients and internal executives.
  • Coordinate with sales teams to develop mutually beneficial proposals.
  • Track, identify, and add qualified prospects to the sales pipeline.
  • Negotiate contract terms with clients and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
  • Conduct ongoing market research to identify trends, opportunities, and competitor insights.
  • Track and report on the status of proposal components and sales pipeline progress.
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently and drive results.
  • 7-10+ years of experience preferred.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in business development, sales, or related roles, preferably in the defense, government, or space industries.
  • Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
  • Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
  • Ability to conduct market research and analyze customer and competitor data.
  • Experience developing and managing strategic partnerships.
  • Proficiency in tracking and reporting on sales pipeline progress.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field (preferred).
  • Experience in propulsion systems for weapons and/or space vehicles is preferred.
  • Full-up weapon system and/or flight vehicle experience is preferred.
  • 7-10+ years of experience preferred.
