Overview

The Area Automation Manager plays a critical role in overseeing and managing the automation systems and technologies within the Mississippi, Louisiana and Alabama Market Area. This role typically involves a combination of technical expertise, management skills, and strategic planning to ensure the effective operation and optimization of automated processes.

In Short

  • Responsible for managing automation systems and assisting with control system troubleshooting.
  • Lead automation activities for all lines of businesses within the company.
  • Provide Subject Matter Expert (SME) support for automated and electro-mechanical process control systems.
  • Implement corporate site automation standard procedures.
  • Oversee lifecycle management of all operational technology (OT) assets.
  • Drive the adoption of emerging OT technologies.
  • Collaborate with IT and OT teams for effective system integration.
  • Conduct cost-benefit analysis and ROI assessments for automation projects.
  • Train local operators and managers on equipment operation.
  • Travel up to 40% is required.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED and 4 years of relevant work experience.
  • Experience with industrial electrical controls, automation, and process design.
  • Bachelor's Degree in relevant discipline preferred.
  • ISA Certified Control Systems Technician (CCST) preferred.
  • Certified Automation Professional (CAP) preferred.
