Manager, Post Automation - Remote

Overview

The Manager of Post Automation will lead a team of engineers and developers to help grow and support the NBCU Post-Production automation platform.

In Short

• Lead a team of developers and engineers in post-production automation.
• Oversee code management, development QA/QC, and data reporting.
• Manage assignments based on timelines and team skills.
• Set expectations for senior management on delivery timelines.
• Engage with third-party vendors for integration.
• Oversee L3 support for automation and media asset management platforms.
• Ensure client requests are captured and prioritized properly.
• Experience required in scripting and automation tools.
• Knowledge of cloud automation tools preferred.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or related field.
• 4+ years of managerial experience.
• Experience with REST APIs and scripting tools like PowerShell.
• Proficient in Linux, Windows, Node, React, Python, and Ansible.
• Background in source control management, preferably git.
• Experience in third-party post-production automation tools.
• Familiarity with video archive solutions.
• Experience in asset management systems.
• Agile/scrum experience required.
• Willingness to work weekends for upgrades and escalations.
