As a Sales Development Representative at Virtual Internships, you will play a vital role in driving growth by prospecting and engaging university stakeholders, generating qualified opportunities for the partnerships team.

In Short

  • Prospect and generate new leads for the sales team.
  • Conduct Discovery calls to understand prospects' needs.
  • Work closely with the Demand Generation team to nurture leads.
  • Collaborate with senior sales leaders for mentorship.
  • Own the top-of-funnel sales process.
  • Meet or exceed targets for meetings booked and opportunities generated.
  • Contribute to the onboarding of new SDRs.
  • Utilize CRM tools for managing leads and outreach.
  • Participate in cross-functional conversations to inform future campaigns.
  • Adapt outreach strategies based on data-driven insights.

Requirements

  • 1-2 years of experience in a business development role.
  • Proven track record of meeting sales quotas.
  • Experience in digital marketing, negotiation, or project management is a plus.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Experience with CRM tools (Salesforce/Hubspot preferred).
  • Familiarity with the education sector is advantageous.
  • Tenacity, curiosity, and resilience are key attributes.
