Overview

The Strategic Account Manager is responsible for identifying, winning, maintaining, and expanding relationships with strategically important large customers in the veterinary diagnostics industry.

In Short

  • Identify and win new Antech customers.
  • Achieve sales quota and strategic account objectives.
  • Develop productive relationships with key personnel in assigned customer accounts.
  • Coordinate cross-functional support to meet account performance objectives.
  • Monitor market landscape for new business development opportunities.
  • Lead joint company-strategic account planning processes.
  • Maintain high customer satisfaction ratings.
  • Complete required training and development objectives.
  • Manage proposal processes and documentation.
  • Travel approximately 70% of the time.

Requirements

  • Minimum 4 years’ experience in animal health sales or related fields.
  • University Degree in Science or Management; post-graduate degree is an asset.
  • Proven ability to network and develop new business relationships.
  • Experience with contract negotiations.
  • Strong business and financial acumen.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Effective organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to meet deadlines consistently.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs.
  • Experience with veterinary practice management systems.
