Controller - Remote

Overview

The Controller is responsible for all accounting reporting and operational functions, ensuring compliance with organizational policies and GAAP, while leading a team in managing financial records and audits.

• Oversee daily operations of the accounting department.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and organizational policies.
• Lead the annual audit process with external auditors.
• Manage billing, cash collections, and cash-flow reports.
• Work with Revenue Operations on revenue recognition.
• Document and ensure effective accounting controls.
• Oversee regulatory reporting and tax compliance.

• Manage a team of finance and accounting professionals.

Requirements

• 10+ years of accounting experience.
• 5+ years of team management experience.
• Experience with NetSuite, SFDC, or Avalara.
• Big 4 audit experience preferred.
• Strong SaaS model knowledge required.
• Understanding of ASC 606 and other technical guidelines.
• International business and compliance experience.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong leadership and communication abilities.
• BA/BS in Accounting or Finance; CPA preferred.
