Overview

This position is responsible for patient-facing registration and associated tasks which include information collection, validation, and requisitioning of orders and services.

In Short

  • Obtains and verifies patient information for registration.
  • Communicates effectively with patients, providers, and colleagues.
  • Requests payment of financial responsibility from patient/guarantor.
  • Establishes files, maintains information, and scans medical records.
  • Posts monies collected and/or data entry of charge codes.
  • Supports departmental data collection, analysis, and reporting efforts.
  • Works in various patient settings and locations.
  • Attends and provides feedback for departmental staff meetings.
  • Models the principles of a Just Culture and Organizational Values.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Experience in behavioral health, healthcare, or customer service preferred.
  • Knowledge of community resources preferred.
  • Must possess computer skills necessary for job-specific competencies.
  • Must have working knowledge of the English language.
  • Course work in Medical Terminology preferred.
