Accounts Receivable Specialist - Remote

Overview

The Accounts Receivable Specialist at Vail Health is responsible for managing accounts receivable functions including cash posting and credit balance reviews, ensuring accurate and timely processing of payments.

In Short

• Manage cash posting and ensure accurate application of payments.
• Prepare deposits and perform general ledger entries.
• Review and analyze accounts receivable credit balances.
• Assist with monthly closing processes and reconciliation of accounts.
• Track payment denials and communicate findings.
• Support annual external audit preparations.
• Compose special reports as requested by management.
• Collaborate effectively within the team and resolve conflicts.
• Maintain professional conduct and accountability.
• Perform additional duties as assigned while ensuring HIPAA compliance.

Requirements

• Minimum of one year accounting experience required.
• Experience in a healthcare setting is preferred.
• Strong/advanced Excel skills are a must.
• Knowledge of McKesson GL and MM systems is helpful.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and work under variable conditions.
• Associate's degree or equivalent experience required; degree in Finance or Accounting preferred.
• Must be detail-oriented with strong clerical skills.
• Must possess strong communication skills in English.
