Overview

The Service Desk Specialist I is responsible for solving IT problems, providing support for desktop applications, and ensuring minimal downtime for users by documenting issues and solutions, and escalating when necessary.

In Short

  • Provide IT support primarily over the phone and through email.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues with desktop applications and network connectivity.
  • Support clinical applications including OneView and EPIC.
  • Document troubleshooting steps and solutions in a knowledgebase.
  • Communicate with customers to provide status updates.
  • Work on-call during non-business hours as required.
  • Collaborate with project teams to gather knowledge.
  • Escalate issues to higher-level support when necessary.
  • Maintain customer service excellence and issue ownership.
  • Complete additional tasks as assigned by leadership.

Requirements

  • Associate’s degree in Computer Science or related field; Bachelor’s preferred.
  • Six months of related experience or equivalent technical certifications.
  • Advanced troubleshooting skills for computers, printers, and networks.
  • Ability to diagnose issues with Microsoft products.

  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Excellent documentation skills.
  • Availability for evening, weekend, and holiday shifts.
  • Ability to handle confidential information discreetly.
