Overview

The Major Case Adjuster is responsible for directing complex Property claims, ensuring high-quality outcomes through technical assistance and mentoring. This role involves managing significant losses and providing operational support to claim professionals.

In Short

  • Direct complex Property claims with limited supervision.
  • Ensure high file quality on complex claims.
  • Assist in catastrophe response as needed.
  • Investigate and manage selected losses exceeding $500,000.
  • Co-adjust Business Insurance Property losses.
  • Participate in training and development programs.
  • Manage claims assigned to independent adjusters.
  • Complete self-reviews on handled files.
  • Participate in Large Loss Conference Calls.
  • Access and inspect all areas of a structure.

Requirements

  • 10 years of experience handling complex property claims.
  • University degree or equivalent experience preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Xactimate.
  • Strong negotiation and decision-making skills.
  • Attention to detail and conflict management abilities.
  • Valid Driver's license required.
  • An adjuster's license may be required.
  • Exceptional communication skills.
  • Ability to manage time effectively.
  • Leadership skills in organization and planning.
