Account Executive Officer/Sr. Underwriter, National Property - Remote

Overview

The Account Executive Officer (AEO), National Property will partner with agents and brokers to provide tailored property protection solutions for high value, complex risks across various industries.

In Short

• Manage the profitability, growth, and retention of an assigned book of business.
• Underwrite and negotiate complex customer accounts.
• Foster relationships with internal and external partners.
• Identify and capture new business opportunities.
• Develop and execute agency sales plans.
• Assist in training less experienced Account Executives.
• Travel to meet with agents and brokers.
• Occasionally negotiate and procure reinsurance.
• Analyze underwriting, marketing, or financial challenges.
• Contribute to the profitability and success of Travelers.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree.
• 6-8 years of relevant underwriting experience.
• Deep knowledge of property-related products and the local insurance market.
• Strong critical thinking skills.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• CPCU designation preferred.
• 4 years of experience in underwriting, claims, or sales.
