Overview

The Field Service Engineer provides exceptional technical support, maintenance, installation, and training for TOMRA’s cutting-edge food sorting equipment.

In Short

  • Perform field service work at customer sites including installation, commissioning, testing, integration, optimization, maintenance, and repair.
  • Troubleshoot machine problems and ensure full functionality.
  • Conduct preventative maintenance and enhance ongoing performance of machines.
  • React promptly to customer machine issues and communicate next steps.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders for continuous improvement activities.
  • Assist in training and development of new Field Service Engineers.
  • Manage tools and technical documentation.
  • Promote a “Safety First” culture.
  • Complete administrative tasks accurately and timely.
  • Travel for at least 70% of the time, both domestically and internationally.

Requirements

  • Relevant knowledge of electronics/electrical assembly and wiring.
  • Proven ability to read and interpret technical procedures.
  • Excellent communication skills in English.
  • Competent with Microsoft Office.
  • A positive attitude with a strong customer service mindset.
  • Technical Certification or Associate's degree in relevant fields preferred.
  • Two plus years’ experience in field service and customer support.
  • Ability to lift up to 80 lbs. and work in various environments.
  • Must be willing to travel frequently.
  • Ability to drive without restrictions.
