Overview

The Global Freight Operations Manager at Toast will coordinate and manage the movement of inbound hardware inventory and ensure efficient transportation services to serve Toast and its customers.

• Coordinate, schedule and monitor all imports from overseas and domestic suppliers.
• Proactively resolve shipping exceptions during transit.
• Determine best routes to minimize costs and risks.
• Manage documentation for inbound global freight shipments.
• Communicate shipment risks to internal teams.
• Manage carrier selection and performance metrics.
• Conduct freight cost analysis.

Requirements

• Attention to detail and analytical skills.
• Intermediate expertise in Google Sheets and Excel.
• Efficient in Microsoft Suite applications.
• Able to handle multiple tasks and shifting priorities.
• Strong time management skills.
• Understanding of transportation management systems.
• Knowledge of Bills of lading and import documents.
• Expertise in freight import scheduling and processes.
• Familiarity with customs documents and regulations.
• Knowledge of domestic LTL and truckload services.
