Business Development Manager - Remote

Overview

As a Business Development Manager at TigerData, you’ll lead a growing team responsible for introducing our PostgreSQL platform to new customers. This is a hands-on leadership role: you’ll start off by managing a small team of BDRs, shaping how we scale our outbound motion. This is also a thought leadership role: incorporating AI, modern tools and techniques, and automation.

• Lead, coach, and grow a team of Business Development Representatives
• Build scalable, repeatable outbound processes and playbooks
• Champion AI tools and techniques to enhance team productivity, efficiency and engagement
• Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, and RevOps to improve lead quality and pipeline efficiency
• Create a world-class first-touch experience for prospective customers
• Foster a strong team culture focused on curiosity, performance, and growth
• Own and report on key metrics such as meetings booked, conversion rates, and outbound ROI
• Recruit, onboard, and develop future outbound talent as we scale

Requirements

• Have 3+ years of experience leading outbound sales or BDR teams in B2B SaaS
• Are curious about AI and love finding ways to make work more effective (and fun)
• Have managed both internal teams and outbound vendor relationships
• Come from a developer tools or infrastructure company, ideally with exposure to databases, data infrastructure, or cloud-native products.
• Are excited to build; you bring structure to ambiguity and scale to what works.
• Are passionate about creating great experiences for both customers and employees
• Believe in coaching through context, metrics, and continuous feedback
• Are a strong communicator who builds trust across departments
• Consistently test, iterate, and adapt quickly, scaling successful initiatives and discontinuing those that are not effective.
