Director of Hospital Optimization - Remote

Overview

Thrive Pet Healthcare is seeking an experienced and results-driven Director of Hospital Optimization to lead operational improvement initiatives across veterinary hospitals that are not performing to their full potential. This role will report to the VP of Hospital Operations and work closely with the Chief Operations Officer, and VP of Strategy and Transformation. The Director will be responsible for identifying high-priority turnaround opportunities, aligning cross-functional stakeholders, and leading project management efforts to deliver impactful operational improvements and value creation.

In Short

• Conduct quarterly assessments to determine hospitals with significant operational improvement potential.
• Develop and execute comprehensive turnaround plans with clear objectives and timelines.
• Collaborate with hospital leadership and cross-functional partners to agree on improvement initiatives.
• Lead the PMO efforts for each turnaround project.
• Conduct progress reviews with hospital leaders and stakeholders.
• Track performance improvements and report on results.
• Assist with broader value creation and operational excellence initiatives.

Requirements

• A degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or a related field is required; MBA preferred.
• 7+ years of experience in operations, consulting, healthcare, or related sectors.
• Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage complex initiatives.
• Excellent project management and organizational skills.
• Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience in healthcare or veterinary services is a plus.
