IS Technical Specialist - Remote

Overview

We are looking for an IS Technical Specialist to join our Homerun team within the Enterprise Technology organization at Huntington. This role is a key contributor to our core modernization journey, enhancing SOAP build on DataPower, IIB/ACE technologies to convert to REST API’s using APIGEE, zOS Connect, Spring Boot, Java, and Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

In Short

• Analyze, design, and develop systems based on user specifications.
• Design, develop, and deploy scalable microservices using Spring Boot and Java.
• Leverage GCP services to build cloud-native solutions.
• Collaborate with product owners and cross-functional teams.
• Participate in code reviews and technical design discussions.
• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues.
• Mentor junior developers and share knowledge within the team.
• Maintain documentation for developed components and APIs.
• Possess in-depth knowledge of technical industry trends.
• Focus on customer service and collaboration with IT and vendors.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience in software development.
• Strong programming skills in Java and Spring Boot.
• Experience with DataPower, IIB, and zOS Connect.
• Experience developing RESTful APIs and microservices architectures.
• Working knowledge of Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Experience with APIGEE, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps practices.
• Familiarity with containerization tools like Docker.
• Understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
