Compliance Manager - Remote

Overview

We are seeking a Compliance Manager to join our team on a contractor-to-permanent basis at Tangelo. You will be responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring policies and procedures to ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and industry requirements, including HIPAA.

In Short

• Report to the EVP of Community.
• Identify and manage compliance requirements across legal, regulatory, HIPAA, and industry standards.
• Conduct internal audits, assess risks, and propose mitigation strategies.
• Maintain a compliance calendar to track regulatory deadlines.
• Monitor regulatory changes and update policies accordingly.
• Develop and enforce compliance policies and procedures.
• Train employees on compliance best practices.
• Collaborate with teams to implement risk management strategies.
• Prepare and present compliance reports to senior leadership.
• Lead investigations into compliance breaches and recommend solutions.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in Compliance, Risk Management, or a related role.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Law, Compliance, or related field (Master’s or certification preferred).
• Strong knowledge of HIPAA and industry regulations.
• Experience conducting audits and developing risk strategies.
• Excellent communication and training skills.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
