Overview

The Regional Sales Manager will serve as the primary point of contact for new machine enquiries in the UK region, managing technical-commercial aspects for the food business and ensuring customer satisfaction.

In Short

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for new machine enquiries in the UK region
  • Manage technical-commercial aspects for Horizontal, Secondary and Vertical portfolio within the food business
  • Prospect geographic zone, find new leads, and follow up on Industry Campaigns
  • Present new enquiries to the back office, ensuring all necessary data is available
  • Negotiate and close deals, maintaining responsibility until equipment is transferred to local Services team
  • Identify needs for new equipment among existing and potential customers
  • Monitor market trends and competitors within the defined sales area
  • Participate in trade fairs and customer visits, submitting timely reports
  • Collaborate closely with internal departments locally and abroad
  • Manage customers, leads, and opportunities within the Syntegon CRM tool

Requirements

  • Proven sales experience in capital sales of packaging equipment, preferably in the dry food industry
  • Knowledge of Horizontal, Secondary and Vertical Packaging, with experience in value selling techniques
  • Excellent customer management and interpersonal skills, with strong written and verbal communication abilities
  • Team player with an open-book mentality
  • Relevant engineering background (degree not mandatory)
  • Proficiency in CRM systems and MS Office suite
  • Willingness to travel domestically and within Europe up to 60% of the time
