Field Service Technician - Remote

Overview

The Field Service Technician is responsible for installation, testing, analyzing, maintaining, repairing, and training on Syntegon packaging equipment and associated products at customer sites, ensuring excellent technical customer service and satisfaction.

In Short

• Provide field service repairs, training, and installations as scheduled.
• Train customers on proper operation, maintenance, and safety rules of equipment.
• Participate in internal training to maintain technical expertise.
• Assist production with final machine testing and checkout.
• Support customers and sales with equipment concerns and updates.
• Assist with updates and modifications to machinery control systems.
• Travel extensively within North America and worldwide.
• Submit to safety, background, and drug/alcohol testing as required.
• Lift up to 50 lbs regularly and work in tight spaces.

Requirements

• 2+ years of Packaging Machinery degree or equivalent experience.
• 2+ years in the Packaging Industry with experience in PLC and motion control.
• Prior work experience in repair/maintenance of capital equipment.
