Legal Counsel - Remote

Overview

We are currently seeking a lawyer with a proven record of customer service and a practical, problem-solving approach to providing commercial legal services in a technology-enabled, data-driven corporate legal department.

In Short

• Provide commercial legal services in a technology-enabled corporate legal department.
• Draft and negotiate complex software and information licensing agreements.
• Identify legal, regulatory, and compliance requirements and risks.
• Research and respond to legal inquiries related to corporate and commercial matters.
• Provide strategic legal advice to business leaders.
• Contribute to knowledge management initiatives.
• Work collaboratively within the Customers & Commercial team.
• Enhance customer experience with legal functions.
• Handle a broad range of legal and compliance matters.
• Operate within policy guidelines to ensure compliance.

Requirements

• 3 to 5 years post qualification experience in private practice or in-house legal counsel.
• Experience with commercial contracting in a sales organization.
• Excellent technical legal knowledge in contract and commercial law.
• Strong negotiation and drafting skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to influence multiple stakeholders.
• Strategic and creative thinking to resolve legal issues.
• Experience with AI tools and legal technology.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Authorized to practice law.
