Overview

We are seeking a results-driven Business Development Representative (BDR) to join our sales team with a dedicated focus on outbound pipeline generation. This role is crucial in identifying and engaging potential customers, creating new sales opportunities, and contributing to our company's growth objectives. BDRs at Swarmia will be responsible for building and sourcing their own pipeline by targeting CTOs and VP Engineering, engaging in technical and business conversations, and collaborating with the Account Executive team.

In Short

  • Identify and prospect potential customers using tools such as LinkedIn, HubSpot, and other sales intelligence platforms.
  • Conduct high-volume cold calls, emails, and social media outreach to engage potential clients.
  • Assess prospects' needs and challenges to determine fit with our solutions.
  • Partner with Account Executives (AEs) to transition qualified leads and provide detailed insights.
  • Maintain and update CRM with accurate and detailed information about leads and activities.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging customer needs.
  • Meet or exceed daily, weekly, and monthly activity goals, including call volumes, email outreach, and qualified lead quotas.

Requirements

  • 1–2 years of experience in a SDR/BDR role within the tech/SaaS industry.
  • Experience selling within the software development or software engineering function is preferred.
  • Strong aptitude for technical software products.
  • Strong prospecting and lead qualification skills.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport quickly.
  • Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and able to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Proficiency with CRM software (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) and sales engagement tools.
  • Familiarity with sales methodologies such as SPIN, MEDDIC, or similar is a plus.
